We all get homework but we don’t always do it. Why? Even though kids know they might get in trouble or get a lower grade, so many kids choose not to do it.
I asked some kids in my grade why they choose not to. Here is what a few kids said:
Many of the kids said the same thing: “I didn’t have time.”
They have so many things to do after school, such as sports, lessons or clubs that they have joined.
One kid thought he was funny and said, “My dog ate my homework!”
Some kids said they had trouble doing the work after just learning about it in class, and other kids admitted it was just boring.
I was surprised that most kids just choose not to do their homework. If I had taken the survey I would’ve said that I have missed an assignment because I didn’t have time for it. In conclusion kids have chosen not to do their homework because homework takes too much time.
