On a sunny August day, I went shark fishing with my dad and his three friends. It was an exciting day because the sharks were biting. We took a two-hour ride to a great fishing place and then we threw chum into the ocean to attract the sharks to our boat. We had squid and bunker fish on our fishing rods to catch a shark. The excitement began when my dad caught a 6-foot mako shark on his rod. It took him 20 minutes to reel it in. They tied the shark to the side of the boat to bring it back to shore. However, after all of our work, the crew did not tie the shark securely and the shark got away.
