My family went to Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve, and we had so much fun. Hoyt Farm is a great place to hang out with your friends and family. It also has many features, such as baseball fields, fireplaces, horseshoe pits, a pavilion, a picnic area, sandboxes, a playground, and my brother and sister's favorite -- the water park. They even have concerts there. Hoyt Farm is open every day of the year from 8 a.m. to dusk, except weekends from Memorial Day through the mid-October. Then it opens from 9 a.m. to dusk. But it is only open to Smithtown residents. If you are not a resident you have to pay a $12 entrance fee. The museum is open on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The water park is open seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hoyt Farm's address is 200 New Hwy., Commack.
