People who would like some advice about how to talk to their kids about sex and sexuality might benefit from a free workshop called “Talking About Life With Kids . . . Parent & Child Communication About Sex and Sexuality” at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center, 480 Old Westbury Rd. in Roslyn Heights.

The presenter will be Giokazta Molina-Schneider, director of education at Planned Parenthood of Nassau County.

The workshop is geared toward parents, grandparents and caregivers of children of all ages. Attendees will be taught a variety of strategies for engaging children on the topics of sex and sexuality, such as how to answer a young person’s questions about sex and how to make use of teachable moments.
