Long Island is home to several magic shops and professional magicians who ply the tricks of their trade: sleight-of-hand, mind reading, even fire-eating. The shops will sell you their wacky wares and show you how to use them. Some shops, as well as local magicians, provide lessons for adults or kids in magical techniques.
What it offers: All kinds of tricks and illusion paraphernalia, ranging from the oh-so-popular $11.99 "Invisible Deck" card trick (think of a card, then it's revealed to be upside down in the deck). Ronjo hosts monthly in-store seminars that include a show and lessons, $25. One-hour private lessons cost $30.
