Long Island Microsoft Stores in Garden City and Huntington Station are introducing a new, free STEM workshop called Hot Wheels Speedometry on Sept. 9 that will repeat each Saturday through the end of the month. The in-store experience is open to teachers, students and parents.

The 30-minute workshop uses everyday objects to teach the fundamentals of energy, force and motion. Hot Wheels Speedometry exposes kids to STEM-related concepts such as using modifying their track with cardboard to measure time, speed and collision forces.
