These days, typical mommy and me classes are not just for moms and their kids.There are dads, grandparents, guardians and caregivers, with a host of options for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. And there are myriad options -- from cooking classes to yoga sessions -- to help you bond with your children while having fun.

Here's a guide to classes around LI to take with your children.

  • Kids and their parents will enjoy the Me

    Benner's Farm Birthday party venues, Outdoors, Farm stand 56 Gnarled Hollow Rd. Setauket Mommy and Me, Farm Fun (ages 4 to 5) and Down on the Farm (ages 6 and up), is a four session class where children are introduced to small farm animals along with a snack, song, and a story. $60 for four sessions; offered twice in the Spring and once in the Fall. Registration begins February 1.

  • The mommy and me class at Breathe N

    Breathe N Flow Yoga Kids, Sports and recreation 361 Atlantic Ave. Freeport The mommy and me class (up to age 2) offers parents and guardians, their infants and toddlers a way to bond while exploring the benefits of yoga. Class includes yoga poses, breathing techniques, baby massage and more.

  • Kids and parents alike can enjoy classes together

    Dreamnastics Kids, Sports and recreation 38 Great Neck Road Walbaum's Shopping Center Great Neck Traditional mommy and me classes for kids 3 months to 4 years. The Build A Class option lets you start up your own class, you just need three or more of your friends to get started.

  • Kids having fun at the YMCA in Bay

    Great South Bay YMCA Day camp, Sports and recreation, Kids 200 W. Main St. Bay Shore The mommy and me classes are a fun mix of structure and free playtime. Classes range from swimming, music, arts and crafts, cooking and more, held in the Jitterbug Gym and Arts & Crafts center.

  • Gymboree at the Source Mall in Westbury features

    Gymboree Play & Music Kids 1504 Old Country Rd. in the Source Mall Westbury From sensory stimulation to problem-solving games and storytelling, the Play & Learn class is for infants to age 5. Each week offers a different learning theme, for example, "Up & Down" and "The Jungle." Also in: Woodbury, Plainview, East Northport and Oceanside.

  • Girl Scouts taste test various brands of peanut

    Kitchen Time Amusement center, Kids 691 Broadway Massapequa Enjoy cooking classes with little ones. Learn basic cooking instruction, new recipes and prepare a meal to enjoy during class. Some recipes are Cheesy Baked Macaroni, Minestrone Alphabet Soup, and Apple Crisp.

  • The Me & Mommy program at the Long

    $item.instanceof Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center The Me & Mommy classes for kids ages 2 to 4 use hands-on activities, stories, songs, crafts and live animal encounters as they learn all about sea creatures. $80 per four-week series; includes admission for one adult/one child.

  • M.A.T.S.S. Kids' Gym, located in Bellmore and Syosset,

    M.A.T.S.S. Kids' Gym Kids, Sports and recreation 2629 Grand Ave. Bellmore The Baby and Me class (ages 7 months to a year) is a movement class with music that includes rolling over, bubble-play and age-appropriate toys and equipment. The Anyone and Me class, all about tumbling, is for kids ages 1 to 3 years. Also in Syosset.

  • Kids having fun at Mommy & Me Art

    Mommy & Me Art Hobby or Club, Kids, Children's classes 565 Rte. 25A Miller Place For kids ages 2-5 with projects including edible art, sand clay, fingerpainting, hand plaques and much more. Prices start at $115 for six weeks.

  • Kids and their parents have fun while learning

    Moms & Tots Kids 145 Southh Merrick Ave. Merrick Enjoy fun-filled classes for children 6 months to 3 years. The 90-minute programs include music, instrument play, puppets, storytime, crafts, and free play with slides, riding toys, sand tables and more.
