Here's a round-up of new books about youth sports:

"Parenting Young Athletes: Developing Champions in Sports and Life" (Rowman & Littlefield, $29.95) by Frank Smoll aims to educate readers on how to maintain their children's well-being on the athletic field or court. Includes information on child development, sports psychology and sports medicine.
