Who did Chelsea Clinton choose to design her wedding dress for her nuptials (details were beyond hush-hush) on Saturday in Rhinbeck, NY?

Final answer: Vera Wang.

After weeks, maybe months of speculation about what the daughter of secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton and former president Bill Clinton would wear to her wedding to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, the 30-year-old, glided down the aisle with her famous father, looking positively gorgeous in Wang’s dreamy confection – a strapless, silk organza gown with a draped tulle bodice and wide jewel encrusted waistband that emphasized her slim figure.  With hair upswept off her face, long, simple veil and natural, though more formal than usual makeup, the bride lived up to the hype – she was a knockout.

The mother-of-the-bride opted for a raspberry-to-pale-pink ombre number by designer Oscar de la Renta (her go-to fave while her husband was in office), an excellent choice for her as well.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the groom, the ushers and the father of the bride all wore Burberry tuxedos.

WWD also reported that the bride wore a short, white Oscar de la Renta dress to the rehearsal dinner on Friday, while mama went for a chiffon, flowy dress in "shamrock" green.  The publication suggested that the color choice may have been for "luck."
