Inspired by the fluidity of mercury and the stylings of the movie, “The Eyes of Laura Mars,” there were languid, clean-lined dresses -- some tiny, some long -- that smacked of Halston past, and Schwab’s new vision that included molding, embellishment and a touch of fur.

And the crowd seemed enthralled with the clothes…that is until SJP walked in.
