So what if MTV cancelled her? Alexa Chung now has a handbag named after her. If that doesn’t make you an “it” girl, what does?

The Brit TV personality and model, whose show “It’s on with Alexa Chung” was cancelled in December, caught the attention of Mulberry creative director Emma Hill by toting one of the line’s old briefcases (yes, a man’s briefcase) everywhere.

Seizing the day, Hill updated the briefcase, gave it some feminine touches and named it -- what else? -- the Alexa. Chung carries hers everywhere and now so can you.

The line launches at Mulberry's two Manhattan stores and on mulberry.com this week. It comes in regular and oversized, in solid leathers, a shiny leopard print, lambskin trimmed with snake, with prices starting at $950.

(Not exactly what a girl who just lost her job is looking for, but we bet Ms. Chung didn’t pay for hers.)
