Business partners Dominique Maciejka and Joseph Laspina opened the first shop's doors on Main Street in Sayville in May 2012. Paper Doll Vintage Boutique specializes in retro looks from the 1920s through '90s with an emphasis on midcentury pinup girl styles. The shop initially sold only vintage clothing and accessories, but has expanded to selling vintage reproductions in all sizes, which owner Maciejka says are accessible to more people, as vintage clothing can run quite small.

The Sayville location also carries upcycled accessories and local art, and hosts monthly art shows, classes, events and fashion shows.

"We've grown such an amazing community of customers, friends, artists and supporters," owner Maciejka said. "It's become so much more than just a shop and I'm excited to see how this location will add and enhance our Paper Doll community and family."

Maciejka says the Sayville and Huntington locations will carry many different items from one another. The Huntington store is slated to open in May 2016, at 333 New York Ave.
