Countdown to the Summer Olympics
Seven…six…five…four…the countdown to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London has begun—the Games are just one week away—and before the athletes even got across the Atlantic their opening and closing ceremony uniforms (designed by Ralph Lauren and, ummm, unfortunately, NOT made in America) stirred up controversy.
Read about that, plus which designers (like Stella McCartney, Giorgio Armani and Cedella Marley, daughter of you-know-who) are designing uniforms and gear for various countries. And some of your other fave brands are offering a host of Olympics-oriented gear to get you in the mood (if you can’t exactly hop a plane and get to London yourself).
If you ARE hopping a plane (which means we here in the sweltering heat kinda hate you just the teeeeeniest bit), then you’ll need Tumi’s stylish leather luggage tag (pictured above), $25, adorned with the London Eye and other familiar sites—available at tumi.com.
