Monique Lhuillier — geology rocks!!

Maybe it’s sort of like headlights. Sometimes you have to flick yours on and off to get the driver of an approaching car to kill the brights and pass without blinding you.
Monique Lhiulllier’s collection included some intriguing prints, snatched from the textbook of a geology class — with a close-up rock pattern aswirl in abstract color, and fiery lava prints on a chiffon blouse, pencil skirt and a strapless draped gown.
The silhouette was figure-hugging and feminine, which may have prompted one gent sitting front row to leap to his feet — a reflex reaction, it seemed — when one model in a one-shouldered chiffon gown stumbled on her hem, nearly toppling over in his direction. She regained her footing on her own, and our chivalrous Galahad guy just slipped back into his seat.
Some pieces, however, seemed to fall into a blindingly bright category. A nude tulle gown with red embroidery and a red lace number with dramatic organza skirt might've had more impact if she'd dialed down the shade.
