Busy, busy boy that Prabal Gurung. Last Thursday, there was the huge bash for his new line at Target, then on Saturday, his downtown uber-luxe runway show was the hot ticket. On Monday, at the tents, he presented his ICB collection, a contemporarily priced line of savvy city girl clothes that really hit the mark.
So how tired was he? “It hasn’t hit me yet,” said Gurung, looking fresh as a daisy, backstage after the show. As for this collection, Gurung said, “It’s inspired by all my girlfriends who either have a fashion sense or a curiosity about it. It’s for women who have depth, levity and a sense of curiosity.”
We were curious about when we could get hold of it -- for now it’s sold at www.icbny.com and at Barney’s -- more to follow. It was layered, cozy and soft looking while still really chic. Gurung played with layers and proportion. Twill track pants were slouchy, a sapphire blue dress was fitted and would be a wardrobe workhorse. A big, cushy cowl neck sweater dress topped a stepped hem miniskirt an was accessorized with opera gloves.

In fact, accessories were outfit makers: a thick leather belt with several zippers on it might be the belt of the season, and colorful fur snoods were just the thing for a frigid day.
