At Carmen Marc Valvo’s stellar show on Friday at the tents, our seatmate, the celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch (a Long Islander, by the way), checked off the run-of-show like a grocery list.

Something really beautiful happened at NASDAQ in Times Square on Sunday night, and it had nothing to do with stocks.
It was Carmen Marc Valvo’s fall fashion show where models, walking a runway in the round, not only showed off the fall collection of dresses, gowns and a few pantsuits, but also underscored the significant talents of Valvo, the veteran designer.
