Few young designers channel 1950s Hollywood glamour like Christian Siriano. When it comes to new New Looks, he leads the pack, and this collection is chock-full of examples. Truth told, Christian Siriano is known for over-the-top confections, but at Saturday’s afternoon show, he took a more discreet route via the ballet. Hey, guys — a Mena Suvari alert. Seems the sexy young thing has an opening in her calendar come Feb. 14. When asked if she had Valentine’s Day plans, she said, “Nooo, not yet,” blushing (almost) as bright as her hot pink dress.
The dress is from Christian Siriano’s Fall 2012 Collection, and she wore it to his runway show Saturday — even though she’s more a basic black gal, herself.

Bat wings may be tough for some to contemplate in great detail, but for Christian Siriano, they provided inspiration for his fall collection, a line dominated by Goth leather appliques, flowing capes and strange, veinlike textures.
