At her Monday afternoon show, Donna Karan sent out a fearless, strong, sexy collection that was both a departure from her signature, yet in some ways, at the essence of it.

The back wall of Carolina Herrera’s runway was a mosaic of sketches and swatches from her fall collection that showed the designer’s range. There were chic indigo and black combos that could work day or night. These were luxed up with broadtail and sable trim – perfect for Herrera’s ladies --out in force.

Brit designer Jenny Packham’s blinged out frocks and gowns speak volumes. But the designer is mum about one subject: the Duchess of Cambridge. Okay—Skaist-Taylor, the hotly anticipated new line from those Juicy Couture gals, Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor…(hence the new name)…pulled off the best show of the season. Um…too soon to call? Maybe, given that we have Marc Jacobs’ show coming up tonight.

There are some seriously “OMG” moments at fashion week, but if you’re the betting type, put your money on Zac Posen to deliver them every time. Here, body contoured (hey, one was called "anatomic") suits and cocktail dresses simmered, ball gowns truly stunned.
