Inspiration: A lush, flower-trimmed runway opening was as fragrant as spring and it seemed clear that de la Renta went to the garden for inspiration at his spring 2015 show which was presented Tuesday in his midtown showroom.

Inspiration:  The designer didn’t spell it out but there was a clear edge to the collection divided into two beautifully executed parts  — swanky but slightly toughed up daywear and glam, frothy looks for evening.  The former was new for de la Renta, modern and a breakout from a more conservative ladies-who-lunch looks…think a studded leather suit that clung to every curve.
