You generally don’t think about gals like Taylor Swift wearing Badgley Mischka, but she does -- well, at least the modern, more affordable Mark + James collection -- which made up the lion’s share of the design duo’s runway. And it is certainly younger and more relaxed than those blinged out Oscar beauties that they’re famous for.

Big sweaters (one webbed with fur), wrapped coats and little capelets topped skinny leggings, some metallic, some black leather. A flapper dress featured edgy chain fringe, and little jersey frocks seemed to wrap the bod. True, all more breezy than the 12 or so glamour gowns they showed including a dreamy pale gold tulle confection (would be bombshell on Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks who sat front row), a bunch of look-at-me sequin jobs and a blown out gown of peonies that was a bit too much.
