Over the years, I've bought a lot of tools for removing the kernels from a cob of corn, and what they all had in common was that they worked less well than a knife. Enter this new "corn zipper" from Kuhn Rikon whose blade is contoured so that it cleanly shaves off a few rows at a time. I can't figure out why, but the kernels don't fly all over the kitchen either.
