Jeremy Scott sure knows how to put on a show -- the roar of applause was deafening after he unleashed a jet-fueled, neon-lit, sugar-rush collection inspired by the raucous, take-no-prisoners punk rock / New Wave movements, and sure to please all you club-hopping fashionistas and downtown dudes out there.

It was like time traveling back to 1979, with the B-52s anthem “Rock Lobster” blasting from the speakers and models dolled up in checkerboard print miniskirts, bra tops and hot pants. All in neon shades, of course -- turquoise, fuchsia, acid green.

A knit purple mini dress had a print of wavy, rippling circles, the kind of thing you’d see when a cartoon character gets dizzy and passes out -- a pair of sleepy eyes on front completed the look.

Savage sweaters declared “Death,” “Rescue Me,” and -- on one -- “Too Weird to Live” on the front, “Too Rare to Die” on back.

Footwear ran the gamut from killer platform stilettos to a selection of metallic and other vivid sneakers from Scott's collaboration with Adidas.

All wacky and wild and over the top -- but with some moments of kitschy brilliance, like the acid green checkerboard knit mini dress with zipper round the waist, like a belt, but unzipped halfway around to reveal a flash of skin. That’s gotta be in the closet of the next Bond girl, for sure.

As for the finale outfit -- a massive yellow fur-like hooded onesie with matching over-the-knee fur boots? That’s swiped from The Grinch’s wardrobe, we presume.
