Long Beach, sandbar to city
Just after the turn of the 20th century, State Sen. William Reynolds, the man who built the Dreamland amusement park in Coney Island, conceived of an upper crusty boardwalk resort in Long Beach and tirelessly promoted it to reality. Here are pictures from the history of the boardwalk community.
