A live Christmas tree is a wonderful holiday decoration for humans, but its texture and odors make it an inviting chew toy for pets. Plus, the decorations on it are also very attractive to dogs and cats. Unless you are supervising the situation 24/7, it is very hard to teach pets that the tree is off-limits - but I have learned a few tricks over the years that I can share.
