Apple Picking on Long Island

As the weather cools, the East End beckons with Fujis, Galas, Mutsus, Macouns and Red Delicious apples, just to name a few. Procrastinators will be happy to hear that apple picking should extend into late October, although popular early varieties, such as Honeycrisp, will be long gone by then. If you have a favorite apple, call in advance to see if it is available.

Get the scoop on events, nightlife, day trips, family fun and things to do on Long Island.
