Long Island ice boaters love to go fast

Some Long Islanders love when the weather gets cold and they can take their ice boats onto a frozen lake or pond. Some of the boats can go as fast as 70 mph. Videojournalist: Randee Daddona (Jan. 28, 2014)

The polar vortex during the past few weeks brought frigid temperatures that allowed Long Island ice boaters to take to frozen ponds and bays for the first time since 2011.
