Fees: Parking $8 a car weekends Apr. 1-Apr. 16; daily Apr. 22-Labor Day; Sept. 9-Nov. 12 weekends. Coe Hall Mansions tours and special exhibits: $5, free younger than 12.

Description:

409 acres; 6 miles of nature trails and 200 acres of landscaped plantings, including rhododendron and azalea displays.

There's a synoptic garden, a rose garden, a main greenhouse with exotic plants year-round, a camellia greenhouse and a gift shop.

Coe Hall mansion self-guided tours are conducted 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Hours:

Arboretum 9 a.m.-5 p.m., main greenhouse 10 a.m.-4 p.m., camellia greenhouse (prime-time bloom in February) 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Coe Hall: 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily, except legal holidays from March 30-September.

Season:

Daily all year, closed Christmas Day
