If I had a signature beverage, I'd give it away on my birthday. Since I don't, I'll turn the spotlight on 7-Eleven, which in fact does have a frozen specialty, the Slurpee, and a birthday, its 86th, on Thursday.

Thursday, i.e., 7-11, translates to free Slurpees, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating stores.

Stop by your neighborhood 7-Eleven and grab a free 12-ounce Slurpee, a significant growth from last year's cute but kinda teeny 7.11-ounce offering.

After you pour your pleasure -- summer options include Slurpee Strawberry Lemonshade and Slurpee Lite Sugar-Free Mango Lemonade, but you can go for a classic flavor as well -- you'll certainly want to do the Slurpee Dance.

It goes like this:

If you feel dancing is best when accessorized, head to 7-eleven.com/SlurpeeDance and download printout-able headbands, tiny hats, wristbands and more. Free Slurpee Day does, after all, happen only once a year.
