The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

Four Long Island restaurants are cited on Open Table's 2013 listing of the country's "hot spot" places to dine.

Monsoon Asian Kitchen and Lounge in Babylon, Honu Kitchen & Cocktails in Huntington, Hendrick's Tavern in Roslyn, and Toku Modern Asian in Manhasset were listed. The list highlights "hip (new) restaurants, celebrity chefs and avant-garde restaurateurs."

Monsoon earned four stars for its food in Newsday last year.. Hendrick's Tavern and Toku each received three stars. Honu has a two-star rating. The four establishments sport bold designs and creative cooking.

The listed restaurant were chosen from 5 million reviews by Open Table participants. Open Table is used to make online reservations.
