The mood will be laid-back, the seafood-centric menu moderately priced. That’s the word on Maliblue, the soon-to-open clam and oyster bar at the Malibu Shore Club in Lido Beach.

The new place is set for a  "soft" opening this Saturday, and it will go into full gear Monday. It will be open to the public. Parking, at $7.50, is free if you spend $7.50 or more at the restaurant.

Chef Chris Seidl (sous chef at the former Trattachino in Wantagh and also Babylon Carriage House) has lots of choices. Among others, there's  the “Joan Jett lobster rock & roll" ($13), crab cake sliders ($12) and a seared rare tuna salad ($10). Raw bar items include fresh oysters ($13 a dozen), littleneck clams ($11 a dozen) and crab legs (market price).

Enjoy it all outdoors, within view of the pool and the dunes.
