Many restaurants have seen their last sunsets at the Harbor Marina. At least they've been very pretty finales.
This season's resident is Bay Kitchen Bar and its appeal goes well beyond the site looking onto Three Mile Harbor. Chef Eric Miller, who last year manned the kitchen at now-gone Madison & Main in Sag Harbor, brightens up dining out, too.
His warm-weather fare takes in a delicate crudo of fluke with mango and roasted pineapple salsa; a generous, lightly seasoned lobster roll on brioche bread, and a snappy special of flash-fried soft-shell crab atop corn salsa with a spicy drizzle of chipotle aioli. To conclude, there's a tangy Key lime tart with toasted meringue.
You may arrive by water as well as land, just as you could have at Andrra, The Boat House, and Bostwick's (now on Pantigo Road in East Hampton).
