It’s high season in the Hamptons, which means the time is ripe for celebrity spotting. Top news is seeing native son and pianoman Billy Joel enjoying dinner and a bottle of wine at East Hampton go-to, Nick & Toni’s on July 27.

Earlier in the week, on July 25 in the front room — also at Nick & Toni’s — a sharp eye would have recognized British actress Emily Mortimer — of the HBO series “The Newsroom,” who also played roles in “Shutter Island” and “Hugo” — sharing pasta with her kids.
