Chef Richard Lanza has left Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville.
Lanza, who garnered a three-star review from Newsday’s Peter M. Gianotti in 2012, said he is putting all his energy into the New American restaurant he and his two brothers are aiming to open in North Patchogue within the next month or two.
Replacing Lanza at Blackstone Steakhouse is executive chef Steven Diaz, whose resume ranges from a recent stint at the Asolare Restaurant in St. John U.S. Virgin Islands to a much earlier one at Le Périgord in Manhattan.
