Blue Point Brewing Company, the Patchogue-based brewery that was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev last year, is throwing a Toasted Tour Boatyard Bash along Freeport's Nautical Mile.
On Saturday, June 20, Blue Point will set up in the parking lot of EB Elliot's for an afternoon of beer, seafood, music and games.
From 2 to 7 p.m., participants will be able to chat with Blue Point's brewers, learn how to shuck oysters and attend seminars by Chef Hugue Dufour of Queens' M. Wells Steakhouse on cooking seafood with Blue Point lagers. Entrance is free; food and beer are available for purchase; seminars are first come, first served.
From 3 to 5 p.m., Blue Point will be hosting a Buoy Cruise scavenger hunt around Freeport (cruise on foot, bike, Rollerblades or skateboards -- no driving allowed) whose clues will lead the hunters into a number of Nautical Mile bars. Admission is a $10 donation to Sea Tow Foundation.
