The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.
Spring still is a few days away, buy you'll get an early taste of it at Boca Kitchen Bar in Glen Cove.
The new restaurant at the Jude Thaddeus Marina lures you with lobster rolls, grilled fish, steaks, and lots of Mexican fare, too. Illuminated with filament lighting and sporting wall-size quotes from Charles Darwin's Rio to Galapagos diaries, it's a striking addition to the city's dining-out choices.
Try that lobster roll, a satisfying and meaty one, served with potato chips. Or pick the juicy Wagyu sliders. The house's fish taquitos, made with cod, are very good. So's the tender filet mignon.
When the weather warms up, expect alfresco dining at this waterside perch. Previous residents have included Water's Edge and Steamboat Landing.
