The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.
Here comes Farmingdale Firehouse Red.
It's an Irish red ale brewed by A Taste of Long Island brewery, which will donate 10 percent of sales revenue from the special ale to the annual fundraising efforts of the Farmingdale Village firehouse.
The new brew salutes local firefighters. A Taste of Long Island is a microbrewery that offers its production facility to tenant brewers. The brewery is celebrating its first anniversary. The tasting room also includes craft-brewed sodas and iced teas.
Farmingdale Firehouse Red is available on tap there, as well as at The Republic Pub, The Nutty Irishman, The Dark Horse Tavern and Croxley Ale House, all in Farmingdale.
