At The Cuddy, Sag Harbor’s new gastropub, beverage director Derek Nielsen has created a menu of delicious “handcrafted” cocktails to go with chef Gilberto Chico’s refined comfort food. Look for drinks made with fresh juices, artisanal bitters, house-made maraschino cherries and flavored syrups.

The Lucia Margarita ($12), with jalapeno-infused Reposado tequila, has just the right balance of spicy and sweet. You get your choice of Knob Creek Bourbon or Prairie Organic vodka along with homemade blueberry-honey lemonade when you order a Johnny Lemonade. The potent Gentleman’s Favor is made with Michter’s rye, Carpano Antica vermouth, bitters, black tea syrup, and house-made maraschino cherries. Later in the season, bottled cherries will be available for purchase, so you can use them to craft your own cocktails at home.
