On Wednesday April 14, two Long Island chapters of Support For People With Oral And Head And Neck Cancer (SPOHNC) are sponsoring a tasting event at the Knights of Columbus in Farmingdale. The event will honor cancer survivors and proceeds will benefit the organization.

Among the approximately 15 participating establishments are Besito (Huntington and Roslyn), Brass Rail (Locust Valley), Mirabelle (Stony Brook), Novita (Garden City), New Bakaliko Greek market (Hicksville) and Copenhagen Bakery and Tim’s Shipwreck Diner (Northport). On the scene to serve his own entree will be Michael Anthony, executive chef of Gramercy Tavern in Manhattan.
