Fire shutters restaurants in Jericho, Huntington

Early Wednesday, fire broke out at two local restaurants, shuttering both of them for the time being.

A blaze deemed “non-suspicious” started in the kitchen at the historic Milleridge Inn on North Broadway in Jericho. (Click here for the story on newsday.com.) According to the inn’s Facebook page, the restaurant “will be closed until further notice” but “the Shops in the Village, Carriage House, and Cottage will remain open.”

Osaka on Main Street in Huntington Village was also badly damaged and is currently closed. Its two-story building, which also houses the Lemon Tree hair salon, was ravaged by fire. Click here for the story on newsday.com.
