Don’t be too tough on the place if it seems like The Sloppy Tuna in Montauk doesn’t have its sea legs during this weekend’s reopening for the season.

Beached by over a dozen noise violations followed by partners’ legal entanglements, last summer’s too-much-fun spot has a new staff running the show and town pressure to reel in the revelry.

Among new staff, there’s Jeff Capri from The Bench in Stony Brook overseeing front of the house, with Jake Williams, executive chef at Harvest on Fort Pond consulting on the menu, and Orrett Smith running the kitchen.

The restaurant and bar seems to have cleaned up its online presence, with a new Instagram account (lisloppytuna). Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus on the website are coming soon.

Saturday marks The Sloppy Tuna Montauk appreciation night from 7 to 9 p.m. that includes a sampling of the new menu, free beer and wine. Sounds like a party.
