Six meatless specials will be offered on Fridays at George Martin in Rockville Centre during Lent.
The Lenten dishes include eggplant Bolognese, with braised eggplant, rigatoni, smoked Gouda, and tomato sauce; a market-inspired ravioli; walnut-crusted salmon; grilled, blackened mahi mahi with sweet potato hash; peppercorn-grilled ahi tuna with wasabi-mashed potatoes; and a seafood trio of broiled sea scallops, shrimp scampi-style, and a jumbo lump crab cake, with lobster-mashed potatoes.
The price range for the main courses is $18 to $34. George Martin also is known as George Martin The Original.
Lent began on Feb. 18, Ash Wednesday, and is a 40-day period of prayer, penance, abstinence, and fasting leading to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
