Cherrywood Pizzeria & Restaurant may be gone from Wantagh, but its former strip mall digs once again host a pizza-pasta-parm place.
Say ciao to Oregano Joe’s Italian Restaurant, under the same ownership as Hudson’s Mill in Massapequa and Chop Shop in Smithtown. Owner Ralph Belfiore said the renovated place is configured with a pizzeria on one side and a dining room on the other, as well as a full-service bar.
On the menu: stuffed baked clams ($7.95), pasta fagioli ($5.95), veal Parmigiana ($18.95), chicken Francese ($17.95), rigatoni Bolognese ($13.95) and grandma pizza ($14.95).
