The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

J. Michaels Tuscan Steakhouse, one of Newsday's top 10 destinations for steak, has opened a second restaurant at the former Serata in Oyster Bay.

It's a partnership among the owners of the two restaurants. J. Michaels in Oyster Bay now offers a seasonal menu almost identical to the one at the Northport original, featuring dry-aged steaks, day-boat seafood, Italian dishes, and blackboard specials.

J. Michaels in Oyster Bay is open six days, from 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and from 3 p.m. on Sunday. It's closed on Monday.

Before Serata opened, the site was long-occupied by Mill River Inn.
