Jamesport Country Kitchen, which served New American and continental fare on the North Fork for more than a quarter century, has closed.

The Kar family had run Jamesport Country Kitchen on Main Road for 26 years. It shut Wednesday. The land and building are for sale.
Jamesport Manor Inn, on Manor Lane less than a mile away, will honor gift cards for Jamesport Country Kitchen. In an email, the Kar family said some Country Kitchen dishes will make the short trip, too.
