The heady fragrance of chicken tikka wafts out of the new Masalah Grill, which succeeds Muscle Maker Grill in the little freestanding building across from Walt Whitman Shops on Rte. 110 in Huntington Station.
Owner Farzana Sohail, who hails from Pakistan, said the counter-serve spot, while geared mainly to takeout, offers seating for 14, divided among three tables plus a counter.
The menu draws on recipes from both Sohail and chef Jalal Ahmed, who hails from Bangladesh. Included are beef qeema (ground spiced beef) sandwich ($4.99), chicken tikka wrap ($4.99), chicken kebab platter ($5.99) meat lover’s platter with chicken qeema, naan or roti, chicken samosas (turnovers), onion pakoras (fritters), salad and chutney ($11.95). For vegetarians, there’s a platter featuring palak alu (spinach and potato), naan or roti, two vegetable samosas, two onion pakoras, salad and chutney ($10.95), as well as a sandwich featuring boiled potato fried with an egg ($6.99).
