The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.
Having been closed by a fire last summer, Le Soir in Bayport quietly reopened Thursday. We are a tiny restaurant and were still tweaking things after rebuilding, said owner Janina Kaziewicz, who added that the restaurant was first born back in 1977.
On the traditional French menu: escargots Bourguignons ($12), canard roti a lorange ($31) and coquilles St. Jacques ($31).
Le Soir is at 825 Montauk Hwy., Bayport, 631-472-9090.
