Dine outside and enjoy a lingering sunset and glistening ripples. Come on a Mondays and you'll also find a very satisfying lobster bake. The $39.95 special includes a 1.5-pound steamed lobster, surrounded by littleneck clams, mussels, fingerling potatoes and corn on the cob. It's finished with a light, marine basil-garlic broth.
Pre-lobster, you may pick from either a very satisfying lobster bisque or equally flavorful New England-style clam chowder, or either a Caesar or chopped salad. For dessert, the choices are respectable rice pudding, chocolate mousse, gelato or sorbet.
Through the week, there's competition from a fine version of fish and chips, made with cod; and a tasty, local spin on cioppino, with littlenecks, mussels and shrimp atop linguine in tomato sauce. And an appetizer of roasted cauliflower oreganata is worth sampling. And Mill Pond House also specializes in sushi and steaks.
