A six-course, local beer-pairing dinner will be hosted on Saturday by Plattduetsche Park Restaurant & Biergarten in Franklin Square.
Admission is $70 per person. Reservations are required. Dinner starts at 8 p.m.
The dinner includes hors d'oeuvres such as Bavarian pretzel sliders, Kobe beef burgers, and salt-and-pepper potato cakes; roasted loin of pork on the bone with pan sauce, horseradish-mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts; a salad of baby arugula with glazed pecans; "loaded" potato soup with bacon; jumbo shrimp with grilled tomato romesco; and a triple berry tart.
The brews take in Plattduetsche's own Kolsch; and Long Ireland Beer Company's Celtic Ale, Winter Ale, Extra Special Bitter Ale, and Raspberry Wheat beer.
