Le Vin, a restaurant specializing in tapas and bistro fare under star chef Guy Reuge, opened Tuesday at the Smith Haven Mall.

The Lake Grove spot is situated near Bobby’s Burger Palace, the casual chainlet from chef Bobby Flay.

Le Vin, a modern, sit-down spot, is a collaboration between Reuge, of Mirabelle in Stony Brook, and Christophe Lhopitault, who owns Lakeside Emotions, a wine shop in Stony Brook.

The restaurant will be open for dinner this week and go to a full schedule with breakfast and lunch on March 28. Le Vin will serve breakfast from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and lunch and dinner daily.

Tapas selections and larger plates are in the $8 to $21 range. As the name suggests, the restaurant offers a wine list with eight reds, eight whites, and eight fortified wines, plus eight craft beers.

Dishes include a seasonal stew, a daily quiche, boards of charcuterie and American cheeses, Iberico ham, an Alsatian onion-and-bacon tart with frisee salad, hummus, duck confit, bruschetta with bone marrow, Greek salad, lamb meatballs and bean ragout, baked eggs with ham and foie gras, and red-wine braised beef short rib with truffle-potato gratin and Cipollini onions.
