In this week’s Newsday, Lauren Chattman surveys the Montauk sandwich scene and is “pleasantly surprised by the quality of the offerings and the low-key, friendly service” at La Brisa, Lucky J’s and Red Hook Lobster Pound.

Erica Marcus reviews Opera House in Roslyn Heights. The Asian-fusion restaurant is “a more ambitious endeavor” than Tofu, which it replaced, but the huge pan-Asian menu offers both hits and misses.
